About Me

"My ambition is to lead a studio of young designers and risk-takers who collectively share a strong passion for sustainable good design."
Growing up in Vietnam, Kathy was passionate about helping the community around her and intrigued by the way global leaders are tackling the universal challenges of sustainability, equality, and world hunger. This rooted passion coupled with her love for traditional craftsmanship led her to pursue a creative path in design where she hopes to create meaningful positive impacts on people's lives and the environment.

She graduated from the University of New South Wales with 1st Class Honours and received the University Medal for Industrial Design in 2021. She was shortlisted as the NSW graduate of the year by the Design Institute of Australia (DIA). Kathy moved on to pursue her Masters of Interaction Design at the University of Technology Sydney.

She believes good design can shape the future and hope to make a positive impact through innovative product designs that are human-centred and sustainable. Kathy is inspired by the functional International Style of Marcel Breuer and Ettore Sottsass's bold and playful Memphis objects. She strives to achieve a balance between functionality and efficiency, creativity and simplicity across all her designs.
